Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Our boarding bills are really stacking up...

Boarding offers a temporary safe haven for a boxer in need until a foster can be found. Lone Star Boxer Rescue is contacted every single day about boxers needing rescue.  We can only help as many as we have fosters or financial support for.  Sometimes there isn't time to find a foster first, and we have to place a dog in boarding while we search for one.  We typically average 12 dogs in boarding who wait, and EACH dog averages about $225 per month in boarding costs alone!
We are in need of a group of sponsors to commit to as little as $20 a month for 1 year to help supplement our boarding costs. That breaks down to less than $5 a week!
