Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi! I’m Larry, and I have to tell you about the craziest thing that happened to me. Someone (who will not be named) took me to a dog park in Katy, just before Hurricane Ike was going to hit, and left me there! Can you believe that? Luckily a Good Samaritan rescued me, and now I am thrilled to be in the LSBR program looking for a new home. I am about one, pretty healthy and I get along really well with other dogs. Not too sure about cats yet. Please give me a chance to find the loving forever home that I deserve (and please don’t change my name to Ike!).
