Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.
My name is Dante, and I am one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. I am about five years old, but it hasn't been a happy time for me. From what can be pieced together, I was a backyard breeding dog with very little positive human contact. I have been abused and my jaw was broken, but nobody took me to the vet to have it fixed. As a result, my tongue sometimes hangs out the side. It doesn't affect my eating or drinking (well, okay, I'm a little messy), but it does sometimes look funny - or cute, depending on your point of view! I love to be petted and will be a velcro dog once I get to know you. My foster Mom says I am very easy to have around, and I haven't had any accidents in her house. I also walk great on a leash, so hey, what more could you ask for? If you are looking for a girl who wants nothing more than to be loved, I am the one for you. (By the way, my Mom does feel it best that I be an only dog; however, cats and kids are fine!)
Please contact Sherri at kitfox86@earthlink.net for more info. Dante is HW negative, current on shots, spayed, and microchipped.
