Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi there! They call me Pops because I am an older gentleman, but don’t mistake me for one of those old guys that is ready for the rocking chair! I like other dogs, but given a choice, I would much prefer being with people. Cats are OK, but I’m not that crazy about having one around. I will tell you right now that I would love to find a home of my own, but that also includes living with any of you who might consider me as a potential forever foster. I just want to live out the rest of my days in a home with a family who will make me feel loved. Don’t you think I deserve that?
