Hi! I am lovely Emily (and, yes, I can say that, because my sweet foster mom tells me all of the time!). Is it OK if I tell you lots of other things that she says about me? I think it will help you get to know me better. First of all, I am sweet and gentle and lovable and full of joy! I get along with pretty much anything that moves, including other dogs and cats, but particularly people, and especially children! I love to wag my long beautiful tail when I’m happy, so that means it gets a real workout, except when I’m asleep (well, sometimes even then…). But what makes me the happiest? Snuggling with my people buddies and getting a belly rub – ah, heaven! I am crate trained (or rather, I should say that I have trained my foster family to give me a nice treat for going in my crate… :-) ). My hearing is not 100%, but if the house is quiet, I can usually understand you. But if it’s noisy, I switch to observant mode and look for signals from my family and the other dogs. I’m learning sign language, too. So cool! I do just fine. I am so grateful to my foster family, but I also know that it will be wonderful to find my own family. I think I might even be happier (if that’s possible!) knowing I’m where I’m supposed to be. I can’t wait!
