Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

I'm Sarah, and I am a stunning, six- to seven-month-old boxer mix. Isn't my coat the most beautiful color? I have had a pretty rough start to life. I was found tied to a tree with a rope when I was only four to five months old. Can you believe someone would do that to a sweet little dog? I was taken to the city pound, where I stayed for two months. When I was out of my cage trying to get adopted, a customer’s dog lunged at me and bit my little nose, so I had some stitches. My Foster Mom took me to the Vet ASAP, and I have fully recovered. Just look at my sweet face! I am 100% crate trained and about 90% house trained. I know basic commands, such as sit and lie down. Oh, and I am very smart and love to cuddle. Plus, I'm great with other dogs. If you want beauty AND brains, I'm the perfect girl for you!
