Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
Chloe needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Hi! My name is Chloe, and I may not be much to look at right now, but
let me tell you - there is one gorgeous girl making her way out! There
are so many fascinating people (real and fictional) who have been named
Chloe, but do you know what my name means? "Young green shoot." I have
no idea what to think about that, but anyway, all of my energy these
days is devoted to getting over this annoying demodex. Don't worry!
It's not contagious. But let me tell you my story. I had been living
for quite a long time in a gated community. Lucky me, you say? Well,
yes and no. I was a stray (but with a collar), and all alone, but the
nice residents took care of me as best they could. At least they made
sure I was fed and contacted LSBR to rescue me. (Thank you, thank
you!!) Now I am safe and sound (and indoors!) at a vet clinic, and
those wonderful people are nursing me back to health. As you might be
able to tell, I am a mixed-breed, young girl (probably around one) and
I weigh about 30 pounds dripping wet. I am calm and can be a little shy
at first when I meet new people. But sweet? You bet! I am getting
better every day, and I'm ready to go to a foster home or, better yet,
my forever home... as long as it's "home."
