Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Jean Louise, affectionately known as “Scout”, is a four-year-old fawn female that is a real snuggle bunny. This pretty girl is house and crate trained, knows basic commands and does well on the leash. She is fine around older children, but the younger ones seem to make her a bit nervous. “Scout” gets along with other dogs, but she doesn’t show a lot of interest in playing with them right now. She is very friendly and protective, but a little shy and nervous (especially around new people at first). Smart, and affectionate, “Scout” is also playful and loves to chase water from the water hose. This little girl will be your best friend once she gets to know you (and especially if you have a nylabone)!
