Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Hoss is approximately seven years old and appears to be prematurely gray due to the difficult life he has endured. He was rescued from the Lumberton area following Hurricane Rita and will most likely require surgery on his back leg due to a previous, unknown injury. He has several scars on his body, and has suffered a wound to his muzzle that we found  unbelievably  stitched with wire. Hoss does well with the female canines in his foster home, but he may not do as well with other males. Hoss is house and crate trained, loves attention and appears to be smiling all the time. This affectionate boy is in need of a family who can give him a loving, comfy home to call his own.
