Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
Bam Bam is a good dog. He gets along well with his foster sister. They share the same water bowl & food bowl & don't have any problems. When he first arrived at his foster home he would bark at the cat - if he gets close to the cat she hisses at him & he respects her & backs up. Bam Bam is working on potty training. He is a smart dog. He knows how to sit. He knows where the treats are kept & will go to the pantry & look at his foster mommy, "like hey can I have a treat?"
The skin problem is Demodex mange. It is being treated with a collar. Our Vet felt this treatment would work rather than going with a more aggressive treatment.
Bam Bam sleeps on a dog bed by the bed & during the day when his foster family is not home he stays in the crate.
