Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hello! I am a lovely boxer mix named Sable. I just moved to Houston from Austin, and I am so very happy to be part of the LSBR family! I’m somewhere in the neighborhood of four years old, and I am very petite. I’m pretty easy-going, and I am smart enough to understand when my foster mom says “No, Sable” or “Please get out of the kitchen.” I’m good in my crate, and pretty good on the leash. Sometimes I get excited and pull a bit! it took awhile to warm up to my new foster brothers, but once I was comfortable in my new home, I realized how fun they can be to play with! I have a big heart, and I love people, and I just want to learn how to be the best dog ever! Will you please give me a chance?
