Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

I’m Ellie, and I was rescued from a local shelter by a wonderful family. I’m about five years old, and I am a perfect lady. The family I live with right now has a 12-year-old daughter and little toy poodle, and I adore both of them. I will follow the entire family everywhere they go, but I also know to go lie down or leave the room when they ask me to do so. I am completely socialized, and I am house trained and know all the fun commands like shake, sit, stay, etc. I’m also learning about crates for the first time. I love to take walks and to run outside in the yard, but I also know that when I’m inside it’s time to be quiet and calm. I think — well, I know — that I will be an awesome addition to any family!
