Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Do you remember Tom Cruise as 'Maverick' in Top Gun?  Boy was he ever handsome!  No wonder they named me after him!  I'm as sweet as I am handsome and I'm about 2 years old!

I'm a little shy and reserved when I first meet new people but once I warm up, I'm a fun and playful guy!  I'm in a great foster home now and I'm really enjoying their company....especially the little boy in the home! My foster mom says that I would be a lap dog in a minute if they let me!  I love to please and most of all.....I love to give sloppy boxer kisses!  

I really like to play and sometimes I play a little rough so my foster parents are working with me on that and my foster mom says that I am a very smart boy so I should quickly learn the proper way to play nice!
