Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

My name is Kismet, which means 'destiny' or 'luck'.....well, I am one lucky girl and my destiny calls for a wonderful life!

I'm approximately 2 years old.  I've come a long way since entering into the LSBR program.  You may see in some of my earlier pictures that I was suffering from a skin condition.  Well, with lots of love and care, I'm over that condition and looking marvalous!  I'm in a great foster home with other dogs and small children which I love!  My foster mom says that I would not do well in a home with cats though!  

I am now crate trained and house broken and I'm pretty good on a leash and getting better every day!  Here's a secret.....I LOVE to give kisses and I have an obsession with feet...I don't know what it is about feet that I'm drawn to!!!  My foster mom says that I'm a 'goof ball' and I make her laugh all the time!
