Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

WOW.....have I come a LONG way!  Take a look at my 'before' picture....I was a hot mess!  I had a bad case of Demodex and almost no hair at all!  I got sick with something the doctors called Parvo.  They said I probably wouldn’t make it, but they didn’t know me very well….I’m a fighter!!  Many prayers went up for me to get better, and with God’s GRACE…I pulled through!  Lots of TLC and more medicated baths than one puppy should have to endure, I grew most of my hair back and have turned into a beautiful young girl.

I have natural ears and my tail is not docked.  I sure like to wag it when I’m happy.  I forget it’s back there, but when I do see it I like to chase it.  I am a 1 year old fawn girl who is 100% boxer puppy and full of energy.  I am housetrained and crate trained.  I walk well on a leash and know all of my commands.  I do have one bad habit.  I tend to jump up on people when I get excited, but I’m working on that.  I’m a very smart girl and I know I can figure that out soon.

I like to play with toys and stuffed animals.  I really like to go to play day or the dog park and play with the other dogs my size.  I love to play in the water and I can swim.  I get along well with other dogs.  I don’t mind cats either.  I sometimes try to play with them, but if they don’t want to play I just leave them alone.  Sometimes I don’t know my own strength so it’s probably not best if I try to play with small dogs or children.  What I would really like is to have a forever home with some older kids and maybe some other dogs to play with!  I don’t want to lay on the porch…I can run with the big dogs!!
