Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

My name is Joker, but please don't confuse me with the villain from the Batman stories! I'd rather you remember that great Steve Miller song ("some people call me the gangster of love"). Really, I'm just a sweet little guy that is affectionate and full of fun! I know I'm handsome, but I don't let it go to my head. I'm about two to three years old, weigh about 55 pounds, and I'm friendly with other dogs. I love to ride shotgun in the car, because that means I'm just close enough for you to pet while you're driving. But I promise not to distract you! In fact, I'll bark at you if you drive while talking on your cell phone! I'm crate and house trained and all that good stuff. So what are you waiting for? Call me the Joker or call me the Space Cowboy, but please call me home!
