Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hello, my name is, Riley, and I am a male brindle that is almost two years old and has a one of a kind personality! I love children and have been raised from nine months with a three year old boy and a newborn. I am extremely affectionate and would love to call myself a "lapdog," but my size does not permit that! I am very vocal and I don't mean barking. I make all kinds of noises trying to communicate, as a child talks to his parents! My beautiful markings and handsome appearance are all the more reason to bring me home and make me the envy of all your neighbors! I love to play! Catch, fetch, tug-o-war, chase, you name it! I am making wonderful progress on a leash and my current famliy has been able to take me for walks with a stroller! I have very good manners and know to chew on my own toys and use the potty outside. I sleep in my crate, "my house", at night, where I feel safe. I do well with dogs my size, but I think the little guys are still a bit shy around me. Plus, I'm not too fond of cats. I like to stay inside because like all boxers, I don't tolerate being too hot or too cold. I'm really sad about having to leave my home. So I would love to be your "family dog;" we can create many new, wonderful memories together!
