Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi there! I am a majorly handsome dude named Renner. I traveled to Houston from Brownsville at Thanksgiving, and believe me, I could have used a good meal about then! I was pretty thin when I joined the LSBR family, but I have been eating so well and have gained a lot of my weight back. I think I look pretty good, don’t you? I’m about four and a half, and very gentle. And, I’m house and crate trained. I also get along with dogs of all sizes and shapes. I’m pretty sure I will be just about the best pet ever, so I hope you’ll give me a chance at a new life!
