Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

My name is Addison, and I’m a pretty, two-year-old white boxer. I’m a little confused, though, because every now and then my foster mom calls me “Chewy.” She says it’s because I make funny noises like Chewbacca while I am waiting for her to fix my meals. Do you know who Chewbacca is? I hope she’s pretty, too! Anyway, back to me: I’m house and crate trained, and I really like other dogs and people. If you must know, I don’t care too much for cats. (Chewbacca isn’t a cat, is she?? Yikes!) I have my natural tail that I love to wag – a lot! I’m sweet and pretty calm, and I like attention and company. So I hope my new home will have an older male dog or at least a nice human who will spend some time with me during the day. I can promise you that if you will take me home my tail will never stop wagging!
