Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
I'm Mick, and I think I'm pretty darn handsome for a five-year-old! Although my sister Bianca and I look just like our dad, our mom is a boxer. I have a clean bill of health from my vet, except for my Addison's disease...but I hope that's okay with you. I think that's a good thing, right? I like people a lot, and I'm really nice and friendly to everyone. I haven't been around that many other dogs yet, but I can't wait to meet some new friends! I love hanging out in my crate, and I do pretty well on a leash - taking walks is one of my favorite things to do. I've been told that I'm a typical teenager, though, and may need some additional training to make me just perfect. If you're looking for a great guy to hang around with, please look me up. I'm really ready to find a home of my own.
