Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Meadow may not look like a beauty, but she will soon! This 2-year-old female boxer is on the road to recovery from demodectic mange (not contagious to humans or other pets). She is crate trained and very close to being house trained. Meadow gets along well with other dogs, in fact, she could be named Miss Congeniality if she were in a beauty pageant! She has one more obstacle to overcome: she has heartworms and will soon need to undergo treatment. If you think you might be able to provide a loving foster home to Meadow while she undergoes treatment, please e-mail belleboxer@houston.rr.com. Boarded @ The Fritz.
