Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Huckabee is a 15-month-old male Pit Bull who weighs in at 60 pounds. Don't let this guy's looks give you the wrong impression, though. He is one happy, affectionate and bright boy. Huckabee gets along well with other dogs and seems to have never met a dog he didn't want to play with, even those that display aggression toward him. He responds well to obedience training and is quickly becoming a gentleman on the leash. Huckabee is heartworm negative, neutered and current on all his shots. The only thing Huckabee needs is someone to give him a chance to be a part of a loving and permanent home.
