Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi – my name is Cheesecake, and I am as sweet and wonderful as the dessert I was named for. When I was rescued from the shelter, I was so, so scared – I couldn’t stop shaking! But I am really happy in my foster home. I have other dogs to play with, and I’m pretty cool with little kids. I even let them pull on my ears and tail and hug me really, really hard! I have never met a person that I don’t love. I’m a very petite girl – I have yet to hit 40 pounds on the scale. I’m making great progress on my crate and house training. I think I’m about two years old, fairly energetic and simply adorable! You won’t go wrong making me a part of your family!
