Sasha is a beautiful, flashy fawn female. This two-year-old is learning to trust people and to feel safe in her crate. She will be vetted soon, so we'll know more about her overall health - but we do know she is full of life! Sasha would do best with an experienced owner and would be happy being the only dog in the family. This pretty girl deserves some TLC and a loving home of her own.
8-8-06 Update
Sasha is a beautiful two and one-half-year-old flashy fawn female that suffers from Progressive Retinal Degeneration or Atrophy (PRD/PRA), which will eventually cause blindness. She is very sweet and athletic, and seems to be adjusting just fine with the gradual loss of sight, but it does cause her to be more hesitant around new things and people.
Sasha has great stamina and would make a great runner for someone willing to be her "eyes." Sasha is house and crate trained, and gets along with other dogs and even cats. Currently she can still see fairly
well in bright light and has no problem running and wrestling with her foster siblings. Due to the eventual blindness, Sasha would do best in a home with no small children. Sasha will be the perfect companion for the person(s) who can look past her inability to see and who will love her for her beautiful soul.
