Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi there I'm Missy, but I also answer to Miss Honey due to my beautiful honey colored eyes and sweet disposition. My life before LSBR wasn't very rosy…one day I was out roaming the streets and picked up by animal control. I was adopted out in the shelter and I thought life would be great, but my new family returned me and I found myself back at the place where I started…locked up and feeling hopeless. Fortunately I was rescued by LSBR and life is looking pretty great now! I'm in a foster home with a foster brother I love very much. We run and play and when we get tired, we take a nap and then get right back up and do it all over again! I believe life should be filled with happiness and joy, which is why I never miss the chance to find joy in life or in everyone I meet. I love my human friends, including children, and I love playing with them just as much as I do with my foster bro. If you not up for playing, no worries, I'll enchant you with my sweet smiles and playful barking and you won't be able to resist it!

I'm about three years old, current on all vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative, fully housebroken, and great on a leash. I love to play with male dogs, but there's only room for one princess and that's me! Hence why I don't get along very well with other female pups or cats, ducks, and goats for that matter. So please, consider me for adoption and let's start the New Year with love, peace, happiness, and of course...tons of Boxer kisses!!
