Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi! I added the exclamation mark because I can’t believe I’m here! I’m one of 12 puppies born to the sweetest mom anyone could ask for. Brenna (our mom) had advanced heartworms when she came into the LSBR program, and her foster mom (our foster grandma) didn’t even know Brenna was pregnant. Imagine everyone’s surprise to see 12 of us! It really is a miracle that our mom and we have survived, and we have our angel Colleen and her family to thank for taking such good care of us. We’re gonna sit tight until we are eight weeks old, but come March 15, we should be ready to find our new homes!
